Swing Era Jazz Dances
These are the classic Jazz routines coreographed by the greats like Franky Manning and Pepsi Bethel. I typically play the song for one of these dances each night. The Shim Sham is also taught every 2nd Sunday night of the month. After you learn the Shim Sham in class, I will typically play it during the band break so you can practice what you just learned. The Tranky Doo and Big Apple are typically taught on a Thursday night at 6pm in a month with 5 weeks since there is a lot of material to cover. I typically play the songs you can perform these to on Tuesday night.

For Beginner Lindy Hop students, here are a few great songs for practicing!
Here are some of my favorite songs for practicing technique, new moves, and getting up to speed for Intermediate Lindy dancers. If a song is too fast for you to keep up, just keep trying it once or twice each time you practice. One day you'll be able to keep up... it's a great feeling when you can finally dance to faster music!
For Jitterbug students:
For Dancing faster, and simply more great, popular music:
Jazz Steps
Learning jazz steps will greatly enhance your social dancing. They bring you a larger styling and move vocabulary. You will also find all of these steps are done in one of the three Swing Era Jazz routines I linked above.

Inspiring Videos
These are some of my favorite videos I watch to inspire my dancing. It is a great way to see the different styles dancers incorporate in their own dancing to help you find your own style of dancing.
